CoCo Création is an ethical and socially responsible Swiss clothing and accessories brand, which works exclusively with recovered fabrics and other materials. In CoCo Création’s workshop, everything is handmade, from sorting to manufacturing and from creation to sale, by its designer Joanie Ecuyer.

Former elite gymnast, actress, dancer, coach, and now fashion designer, she decided to combine her passion for sewing and creation with her eco-responsible lifestyle.

Because more than four million tons of clothes are thrown away every year, in Europe alone. Because working with the existing creates limits that she likes to push. Because an ethical brand, which makes use of our "old stuff", is good for the planet. Joanie spends hours sorting. Cutting. Unstitching. Imagining. Making.

At CoCo Création, each piece is unique, inspired by the material, which its creator enjoys finding in the huge stock she has accumulated. She doesn’t choose her fabrics, they come to her. She recovers what people give her, what was supposed to end up in the garbage can. Clothes, sheets, curtains, zippers, buttons, or even sales samples and scraps from the upholsterer. But also less conventional materials, such as paraglider canvas, protective plastic, and beer cans. Here, everything is recycled. Everything is used.

Joanie's work is all about shock and resilience. Her new, third, collection is inspired by our layers, as if our bodies, our lives, and our thoughts were nothing more than onions that could be peeled endlessly. Her hope is to find, beneath the layers that make up our bodies, the desire to peel ourselves and explore the world through our own eyes. And, therefore, the hope of reaching somewhere else, rather than this same place where we endlessly rehash the same ideas, ideologies, opinions, and wars. Over and over. Throughout the years.

For this third collection, she has teamed up with Unique Eden, a Swiss brand pioneering sustainable, exploitation-free jewelry. For them, true luxury is wearing jewelry that reflects the beauty of the individual while respecting all that surrounds him or her: people and nature. Each piece of jewelry is a manifesto of style and responsibility, 100% Swiss from design to creation to raw materials (recycled gold and Swiss gemstones).
